My name is Lotte Sembach. I’m a native Dane currently living in Malta. I have always had a great interest in languages and cultures, why travelling and exploring the world is a fun hobby. This passion led me to study International Business Communication and translation with a focus on English and German language and cultural knowledge.

Since the spring of 2012, I have been working freelance as a Danish-English-German translator/proofreader/post-editor. In 2024, my interest in language acquisition went in the opposite direction – namely, teaching Danish as a second language.

In both lines of work, I get to explore many different topics, languages and cultures – not just my own but also all of my students’. Facing many nationalities along the way and adapting each lesson to meet their goals (no matter the level) is one of my greatest motivations as a language teacher.

Education

I hold a Master’s degree in German International Business Communication, PR and translation. As well as a bachelor’s degree in English and German Business Communication from Aarhus School of Business. In recent years (June 2022), I have also completed an AP in Human Resource Management from Copenhagen Business School, and a teaching course with Berlitz (August 2024)
